i cant name any with his speed/reflexes, that was my point, he had that but i dont think that alone makes him "greatest fighter of all time"

i dont have a personal pick for greatest of all time

But Ali was a better tecnician i would say and a better resume.
i think toney said mike mccallum was the best he fought in at least one interview

I think you can call RJJ one of the greatest fighters who ever lived though.

as much as I like Jones and respect his achievements, I always find it ridiculous when people say Jones was (or looked) unbeatable, invincible in his prime, because some of his fights contested during his prime show to the contrary that he was far from an invincible fighter

McCallum, and a faded one at that, gave a somewhat tough fight to Roy, who was very tensed and afraid to throw anything at Mike, and the jab also posed him problems

it was a very poor performance by Jones, he didn't look unbeatable one bit in that fight, and I do believe a 160 McCallum would have beaten his ass

Griffin beat Jones ass a whole lot and was landing at an alarming high connect percentage in their first encounter

yes, Jones eventually hurt him, but hadn't he delivered the DQ blows, it is not hard to imagine Griffin cruising to a decision win

so no, to me, we can't consider that Jones looked invincible in his prime years, and we can't consider him to be the best fighter ever (hell no)

I hate Roy Jones (full disclosure).

He wasn't number 1 ever, but probably top 10 in speed and probably top 50 all time for sure.

Tend to agree with this statement. Roy was vicious early in his career. The two guys i see giving him trouble at MW and SMW were actually in his era. Michael Nunn and Gerald McClellan.
