It's because numbers are never officially released and because only one pro-wrestling writer who indirectly works for the UFC reports them, and he gest the numbers from the UFC.

I think UFC 121 did around one million, Brock was their big superstar. These numbers do fluctuate a lot, the Toney PPV was rumored to have done near 1 million but only one week later it was down to less then 600k. So who knows really.

well there was some good college football games last saturday, also only lesnar was the big name on the card. if arum can pay pacquiao 25 mil he can pay espn 2 mil to promote the crap out of this fight

        OMG, they sky is falling!

1 million buys is rare for everyone including the UFC and most boxing mega-fights, only Tyson averaged more then 1 million buys per PPV.

idk about mmgay..... its a bad ass sport and i bet these people that talk so much **** about mma would get their asses beat in a minute...

plus ufc has a ppv almost every month and boxing has like 5 huge ppv tops and honestly there not what people make them to be this year ppv ****** cain velasquez vs brock lesnar had more action than the whole pac vs clottey 12 rounds i love boxing but they are sinking

i didnt say the sky was falling but if ufc big ppv beats boxings big ppv then it shows which sport has the better following. especially if this is maybe the 4th best opponent for pacquiao.

UFC has close to 15 PPVs this year and they have a very loyal audience willing to pay for even the crappy ones...that's great for their buisness but unlike boxing they show almost nothing of note off PPV. HBO/Showtime blow them out of the water when it comes to non-PPV matchups.

For the dude who said Lesnar-Cain was action packed, well yeah....because one guy couldn't take any sort of punches, ran away like a sissy and turtled up until the ref saved him.

Had this happened in boxing we would hear an overflow of outrage, but hey its the UFC so lets hype up a turd!

The entire November schedule would be on PPV had it been in the UFC and pretty much every card they had this year outside Shobox and some BAD's would be PPV.

What are the best non PPV (ouside the WEC, and those fighters are moving to PPV) fight that the UFC has put on this year? Condit vs Hardy or Marquand vs Okami...not exactly big fights. The UFC hasn't had a big fight on TV since Rampage-Henderson in 2007, that is the sort of fight that would compare with Williams-Martinez II in terms of caliber.
