it seems like 99% of you would rather decide everyone he beats sucks ass than admit hes just that good, he showed up to fight lewis with 2 weeks notice when he was lanky as hell and made lewis look human too

i wouldnt mind seeing johnson fight a few more times, not against a klitschko, but theres some good matchups for him if he gets back on track, why do we throw HWs in the garbage so quickly

There is a difference though. Corrie Sanders got his ass beat but tried hard.

    Johnson didn't try.

I am willing to watch him again though, it could've just been a bad night on the big stage.

He's going to have to prove some things to get a big date anyways.

I had that the same sentiment after his disgraceful non-performance against Vitali as well, but I'm giving this guy a second chance. I listened to an interview (done by Boxingscene's BOXING247) and he genuiely seems to realize his mistakes and wants to get back into the hw picture.

Sorry, that's BS. Kevin Johnson gave a total non-performance vs Vitali and basically just tried to survive to the final bell (where ironically he showed more aggression vs Wlad than he did the whole fight.) Even Sosnowski, outclassed as he was, tried to give it a go. With Johnson it's not the fact that he got beaten that rankles me but the fact that he didn't even try. And it's doubly galling because he at least has a bit of skill and could have made a fight of it.

And I never said Johnson ****** ass, BTW.

I agree. And I think Kevin would do well against most of the top 25 heavyweight contenders, just not against the Klitschkos.
