Universum Promotions put in the winning bid for Alexander Dimitrenko's mandatory defense of the EBU title against challenger Albert Sosnowski (46-3-1, 28 KOs) of Poland. No date or venue has been announced as of yet. Dimitrenko (30-1, 20 KOs) turned down the opportunity to enter the IBF's tournament to crown a mandatory challenger to champion Wladimir Klitschko.
