Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Plans To "Fight" Maidana, Not Run Away

WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan is not planning to "run around" on December 11. Khan's opponent Marcos Maidana told BoxingScene.com that he expects Khan to "run around the ring" all night. Khan told BoxingScene that he plans to make it a real fight because he doesn't want a normal win. Khan wants to be very impressive to set up potential future fights in 2011, like a possible meeting with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Doubt it, that would be a lose-lose situation for Khan. He will box and keep his distance

Amir is going to dominate Maidana...I've been saying it for awhile now and I'm sticking to it.

Dont see it but it would be interesting to see how Maidana fights backing up.

If Khan "fights" Maidana and tests his power, I'll have alot of respect for him. Either way I don't see Khan avoiding heavy handed Maidana's power punches all 12 rounds

                    What?!!
Maidana expects to see Khan run around in their fight?!
                    Maidana fights like Pacquiao now?!

                    I've been thinking the opposite.
Maidana needs to learn the art of moving around and
learn from perhaps Malignaggi, who would have been
KOed in the early rounds had he traded punches with
                    Khan.

Hate to repeat it, but fighting fire with fire with Khan
is a complete disaster for Maidana.
