Derric Rossi is now a top contender

This is particularly addressed to the people who still got the nerve to say the HW division is just as good as it was in other eras outside the Golden era.

Derric ****ing Rossi is now a top challenger in some association rankings.

    No.6 WBC ( unbelievable)
    not top 15 WBO
    not top 15 WBA
    No. 13 IBF

For the record, Rossi was stopped by Fast but not so powerful Eddie Chambers. Yes. He was stopped by Eddie Chambers, in 2007. He went on to get stopped by Dimitrenko in 2008, a man Chambers also knocked out (fighting at home prevents you from getting knocked out when you get knocked out).

Since then, Rossi has scored 6 great wins against great opposition. Here are the records of those top contenders.

    18-16-2
    7-0
    13-7
    26-1 (Drummond)
    10-2
    10-10
    20-27-2 (his last fight )

In today's heavyweight division, it seems it is enough achievements to get top 10 (almost top 5) and top 15 rankings in 2 of the 4 major sanctionning bodies.

I have heard the ''guy'' in charge of the IBF and WBC rankings is actually the same ''person''. Here he is. He works very hard.

So what does that mean ? That means Derric ****ing Rossi could end up having a title shot against either bro anytime. That's disgusting. The division is at its lowest point ever, this is the ****ing truth. Just admit it already.

All those sanctioning body rankings are garbage.

I personally go by the ring and boxingscene rankings. I think they're more credible IMO.

yes, but boxingsecene and the ring are not the ones making the rankings for those garbage belts, and when you defend those belts, you have to pick among people unworthy like Rossi who is in THEIR rankings, not boxingscene and the ring

the fights that should happen don't, the best don't fight the best enough right now, as the vacancy of many Ring belts proves

After losing 2 consectuve fights at 160 over the period from 05-09 William Joppy fought guys that were:

        8-34
        11-9
        44-14
        22-10
        32-27

        And guess what happened?

Lucian Bute gave him a title shot.......

Nevermind that Joppy never even made the 168 lb limit and all those fights were contested at 175........

Well actually he did make the weight against the guy who was 8-34, which is probably more than enough to get a shot at Bute's title.

Jesse Brinkley was somehow ranked no.1 by the IBF and as such got a shot at Lucian Bute. Brinkleys only credentials was 'contender'fame.

Interbox likely paid off the IBF, which has a history of curruption, to protect Bute from live opponents.

            that's a ******ed comment

Brinkley earned his shot, he had a good streak of win and defeated solid opponents like Stevens

of course there are better fighters out there, but not outside the tournament

            anyway, he was mandatory

            you fail

              moron

you have some kind of deficit of attention, cause we're talking about the hw division here and the people who are ranked there

btw, you should take that granny off your avatar when you go around bashing some boxers opposition

              think about credibility
