Obviously Pirog hasn't really beaten anyone yet, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't do well or beat certain guys.
A better example is rigondeaux. He's only fought 6 guys, bums, but I already know based on what I seen he beats most guys at his weight class.

but rigondeaux has pedigree and comes from the highly respected cuban program.
we don't know much about pirog.

Pirog comes from a good amateur background too, although he wasn't all that successful the way he fights I think is better for pros. But again just his style and what he's shown in his few recent fights, to me, I would bet the farm on Pirog if the odds were right.

Pirog is the goods !! all you have to see is his movement, punch technique, and defense - recipe for a world champ. Can he beat a pavlik (yes he can) its not about how many fights, but quality. kelly has to be able to catch this guy. Pirog has good speed also, and kelly will have to figure pirog out (not too many people here in the states have seen this guy fight) while we have seen dozens of kelly's fights. Kelly is going to come at you with pressure and cut off the ring (we all know his trainer is not good at adjustments and between round advise). Pirog impressed me with that victory over a solid slick contender who has some pop in his punches - pirog out slicked him, rolled with jacobs shots well and set him up with a shot he didn't see coming - when is the last time Pavlik set anybody up with knockout shot? Pavlik wears that ass out or he can one punch you, but set you up? Pavlik imposses his will on you, he normally comes in top condition strong as hell, bu technique wise he's not too hard to prepare for(not meaning it will be a walk in the park) its just pirog style - he moves more than floyd mayweather / winky wright etc... lol - study the jacobs fight, jacobs couldn't do shyt with this guy - pirog was calm as tiger on the 18th hole, and just dismantled jacobs, and jacobs is pretty good - golden boy is not investing money in bums,

I will be surprised if Danny loses again anytime soon.

Pirog knocked out a prospect. We have no clue about where he'll end up. Talking about his amateur career is futile. Every single Eastern European that is high in the ranks of their division had a great amateur career.
