Froch takes a dig at Khan....

Carl Froch, former WBC super middleweight champion, isn't reluctant to criticize his countrymen if deemed necessary.

"The Cobra" recently stopped by East Side Boxing for a guest appearance on the On the Ropes Boxing Radio program. Almost instantly he tore into British junior welterweight sensation Amir Khan, the WBA champ, exposing his tendency to fight lacklustre opponents.

“At the moment, he’s hand picking his opponents and he’s not really impressing anybody,” Froch opined. “I’ve yet to name someone on his record that’s a top level fighter where I’m impressed with the win. That flattening by [Breidis] Prescott was certainly a bad one.”

In September 2008 Khan was knocked out by Prescott in the first round of a fight in Manchester. The bout marked Khan’s first professional feat, and stirred wide-spread speculation that he has a glass chin.

Instead of avenging the defeat, Khan chose to fight other opponents. Some attribute his decision to opt out of a rematch to concern of Prescott's dynamite knockout power.

Froch confirmed his belief that Khan couldn't take a punch, saying: “I’ve not seen much improvement under [legendary trainer] Freddie Roach [for Khan] to be honest [...] The only major flaw Khan’s got is he’s got a glass jaw.”

Khan will show the world what he’s made of 11 December when he takes on interim challenger Marcos Maidana. Unquestionably Maidana, a prodigious knockout artist, will be Khan’s toughest challenge, and Khan’s performance will dictate his future in the boxing world.

Froch has his own contest on 27 November against Arthur “The King” Abraham. In a Super Six tournament contest that draws upon a historic Brit-German feud, Froch assured fans that he’ll be the one to walk out of the ring victorious.

A win will allow Froch to regain the WBC title, and will put in good position for the Super Six final, expected to be underway in early 2011

Froch makes such a fool of himself.

I like him, but he gets so jealous and childish about the attention Khan gets.

Does Froch even know who Khan is fighting next?
