I agree, he has no personality and no ethnicity backing (Chavez, Juanma Lopez, ect.) so he's gotta find a way to become a draw and then the big fights will roll in....he should try and get a good marketing team, get interviewed anywhere, make T.V. appearances, ect......anything to create a buzz around him

I know, I like Paul he is fun to watch and has some very good wins on his resume.

I thought he lost a close fight to Sergio and think he will lose more clearly this time around but will do so in a very crowd pleasing manner as he usually does.

My guess would be surprisingly no...seems like a lot of fighters are so focused in their training (and rightfully so) and their family/personal lives to really have time to do so....you hear a lot of "I'm just a fighter, and leave everything else to my promoter/manager/team ect" talk....but what do I know right?

I wouldn't say he "sucks",but he and his actual in-ring ability was always overhyped.He's got good speed,excellent stamina,and fantastic workrate.However,the man simply doesn't know how to box.


The man is a giant compared to the other boxers he fights,and yet here is he,crouching down and fighting a midgets fight.He doesn't know how to use his height and reach to his advantage.His jab is ineffective,just being thrown out there for the hell of it rather than actually using it as an effective weapon.


Carlos Quintana already exposed Williams almost three years ago.Quintana went in there,gave him constant angles,kept up a decent pace and boxed Williams silly - winning a clear,decisive victory.Williams knocking Quintana out in the rematch doesn't do anything to remove the image of Williams being badly outboxed just a few months prior.


That said,Williams is still good enough to beat Martinez again.All Williams needs to beat Martinez is constant pressure,and alot of consistent volume.Quintana had the stamina and workrate to match Williams,Martinez doesn't.
