    Where Are The Gay Boxers?

Boxing is one of the oldest sports in the world that traces its roots back to Ancient Rome and Greece. ****sexuality was common and an acceptable way of life in both of these ancient cultures that produced great athletes. Why are there no openly gay boxers today? If gay professional boxers exist, who are they? The military recently changed its rules to allow openly gay applicants, and now is the time for the boxing world to accept openly gay boxers that represent the gay community. I'm 6'2", 230lbs, and have been involved in bodybuilding for 20 years. Recently I started practicing Muy Thai and MMA, excel in both sports, and look forward to participating in amateur competitions in the near future. There are many bodybuilders and MMA practitioners that are gay, masculine, macho, and straight acting, just like me. I mention this because people have a tendency to generalize and think all gay men act feminine, and can't enjoy fighting and doing manly things.

Too many bigots in the boxing community. Being an openly gay boxer would be a tough road.
