I think it was more of a shock tactic then anything. Bernard loves to fight and I'm sure he looks forward to besting Taylor again in the rematch. Of course he's going to complain to the commission about a controversial decision when the 12th round was scored incompetently by one judge. If anything he would try to force the rematch to come sooner, but we know that Taylor is concussed and still visibly shaken following his defeat...er, win. Hell, maybe Hopkins thought they might actually give him his titles back. You can't blame him for trying.
