His team just want it to start all over again, Get him a new corner and just start all over. It worked too.

Wlad became mandatory for the WBO belt, but Sanders vacated the belt and went on to fight in WBC.

in fact Wlad wanted the rematch, or so he says, but his management wouldn't let him fight Sanders again (they were probably too afraid that Sanders would do a number yet again on Wlad)
Which is not true, Wlad specifically became the mandatory for WBO so he could rematch Sanders. The timeline proves it too.

By 2005, Wlad would have been ready for a rematch, but by that time Corrie was much older, and Corrie had also been brutally beaten up by Vitali.

At that time a rematch didnt make sense, and thats why it never happened.
Thats exactly the way I see it as well.

Wlad was TKO'd against Corrie Sanders. Not brutally knocked out. He was beaten and soundly, but not brutally knocked out.

Also if you look back at news articles, Wlad wanted the rematch with Sanders, but Sanders wanted the WBC belt, remember?
