RAFAEL MARQUEZ is at +250.... HUH?!?!?!

    Juan Manuel Lopez -325
    Rafael Marquez +250

Which, in case you don't understand that, means Lopez is a 3-1 favorite...

    Some Perspective:

Marquez-Katsidis has the same line, with Katsidis being +260 underdog

Maidana has a better chance of beating Kahn, at +240

Ridiculous in my opinion. Katsidis will make it a war but he has no chance at winning IMO. and Maidana has virtually no shot at beating Kahn unless he lands a one punch KO

Marquez on the other hand is an excellent counter puncher, scored a spectacular counter left hook KO in his 2nd to last fight, and looked fantastic blowing away a shot Vazquez in his last fight.

Lopez is woeful defensively, and leaves himself ABSURDLY wide open when he opens. Lopez gets hurt or dropped in all of his fights. Put him in against a guy like Marquez and he'll have a field day picking him apart.

I'm not saying I'm picking Marquez to win the fight, in fact I slightly favor Lopez as of now, but this is a Pick 'em fight in my eyes.

Is not really a pick'em fight.

Lopez being a 3-1 favorite sounds about right.

Why because Juanma managed to get past the great Steven Luevano?

if you disagree with the odds, why don't you just put your money where your mouth is, instead of creating a thread in NSB

... you wanna explain yourself or...

I mean the level of competition is just on another level.

Marquez has been in with future hall of famers and scored KO's and stoppage wins.

Lopez was basically knocked senseless by Rogers Mtagwa... and Concepcion put him on his ass...

Not saying Lopez is bad, but he is so inexperienced. He is going to go through moments of HELL in this fight, and an uber veteran like Marquez is going to be able to put together the combos needed for a KO

It's not an easy fight to pick, but Lopez is certainly no 3-1 favorite

It was relativeky easy to blow by him. Not manage to get passed him.

He also blew by concepcion , penalosa , de leon. and 28 other ppl.

Other than the great rogers mtagwa, lol. and even with 3 surprising rounds , it was a very Wide UD
