Comments Thread For: Pacquiao-Margarito: No Rematch Clause For Either Guy

A lot has been written about a possible rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito. A rematch would depend on the former three time champion from Mexico pulling off the upset on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum confirms that neither Pacquiao, or Margarito, have a rematch clause in the contract. If Margarito wins, he is not obligated to give Pacquiao a rematch.

Wait, Margs wasn't in position to demand a rematch clause? That's crazy!

              They way I see it...

Margarito doesn't even deserve this fight, what more for a rematch?

Shows the confidence of the fighter who has more to lose if he ****s up the fight.

But scumbag Arum at his best yet again!

If Margarito wins he'll probably give Pac a rematch considering his ego and $$.

listen to the lies coming from uncle bobs trap "if the public demand it"...just like the public demanded manny fight margarito?
nope, the public demanded floyd & manny, but in true boxing fashion, they give us the fights we dont want, whilst the best avoid each other

I don't know about "******". Actually, a no rematch clause makes perfect sense in the grand scheme of things.

No rematch clause means an open door for a Mayweather confrontation, regardless of what happens. It's a smart money move.
