manny's not retiring. his name is worth money now. pacquiao is gonna be just like other famous boxers who retire then unretire because their name is worth 10-15 million a fight.

Pac will likely want one more big payday before he retires. He is almost 32 and has been figthing professionally since 1995 when he was 16. I think a possible opponent is Saul Alvarez if top rank and GBP can bury the hatchet and make it happen. If margs gives pac a strong fight, mayweather may actually take the fight as he thinks Pac is slowing down. SRL did the same with hagler, after the mugabi fight it was obvious that hagler had slowed down.

Like I said in another thread. I think this fight will get done because I think even if they don't fight in May, not because of ducking but because of all Floyd and his uncles legal issues they need to prioritize first, I think it gets done just because after Floyd's done with court if he's not in jail all he has to is call out Manny even if Manny retires for politics because I'm sure Manny wouldn't hesitate to come out of retirement for one last fight. If i would be Pacman, i would fight Mayweather after beating Margarito and after i beat Mayweather i would retire and become a great congress man. I would leave boxing as a healthy man.
If i would lose to Mayweather clearly i would fight 1 or 2 fights more to leave boxing with a good win and not a loss. If the loss against Mayweather would be close i would try to make a rematch.
But lets face it, if Pacquiao beats Mayweather next year he wouldnt have anything to prove anymore and it seems he already loses some of his dedication and focus. He wll not fight much longer.

That's possibly the case before but right now you couldn't tell me legal issues aren't a huge block in the road for this fight. He's facing some serious jail time, I'm sure the last thing on his mind is negotiating a fight with Pac when he might not even be a free man to train or to even fight.

I'm sure after the legal issues he'll start talking again about Pac and we can get this fight done whenever that is.
