I don't agree on the JMW title being on the line but WBC is sanctioning the fight. Margarito also agreed on the catchweight. Does Margarito have a choice? Yes. He could have said no and fight somebody else. But he wants a big payday.

Don't blame Pac, blame Arum and WBC.

it's obvious you weren't 100% committed to this thread.

cause whenever you are, that 'fck the bull****' line just wouldn't cut it.

you'd be spitting venom around like there's no tomorrow.

I prefer this to be at 147 as well but

              Technically

              1. Jr Middleweight is between 148 and 154
              2. Title fights have been fought at catchweights since most of us arent even born

              3. Title fights are determined by the alphabets these days. well actually since the beginning these aplhabets sprouted.

              4. Ray Leonard won a Lightheavyweight title at the limit of 168 I have to remind everyone that 168 is also a division You dont read any criticism for this. as far as everybody is concerned SRL is a 5 Division champion even Rold acknowledges this.

                What weight class is that?

The junior super welterweight title? The junior junior middleweight title?

I don't care that much for this fight since Tony can easily make 150 because he fought at 47 his entire career, but come on.

                Don't insult my intelligence.

Its bad enough you pretended to win Cotto's WW belt while depriving him of the right to make WW.

                Now you're gonna pretend you're a legit 154 champ?

This fight is a special attraction, not a title fight.

                Fuck the bullshit.
Because it is for a Jr. Middleweight title DUH LOL...although alot of people including myself doesn't agree with it, the title is on the line haha.

I have to agree. it doesn't make sense he fights Cotto at a catch weight for the welterweight belt "because he's not big enough for 147" but then he's going to surpass that but call for another catchweight to fight Margarito?

As good as Pacman is he sure does get baby'd alot. I think it'd be a lot more special if he won the weltweight title at 147 and the jr mid.weight title at 154. I'm hoping Margarito knocks him out.

Manny just paved the way for a whole lot of vacant belt and catchweight champs
