klitschko still fighting giving the fans what they want.
I am talking prime to prime. The argument can be made that Prime Vitali could take Prime Tyson by SD. He is more cautious/has a much better chin than Wlad, who wouldn't stand a chance in hell against Prime Tyson. The argument cannot be made that Vitali could take Lewis, as he only won rounds 1 and 2 deffinitively, and the case could be made for one more. Lewis won the rest. Lewis was the heaviest in that fight of his entire career, and lacked the reflexes and movement that he had in his prime by that stage anyway. The best fight of Vitali's career, and the worst of Lewis' hands down...True though, I guess Lewis decided to just retire, didn't have to go back after Vitali, he was a gray haired old man by then.

Lewis would have won the fight if Vitali wasn't cut, he managed to stagger Vitali badly at the end of the 6th with a shot to the temple. Brings up a interesting point, fighters with really good chins sometimes have really "soft" temples. Maybe that is how it is done with Vitali, you have to catch him on the temple, at over 6'6 I doubt anyone else will.

The case could be made that Wlad could take Lewis, since he has such a punch, but still, not a very good one at all.

Yes, I notice some sportswriters who used to be negative about them are gradually giving them more credit now. Wladimir is in both the Yahoo and the Ring top 10 p4p.

Hopefully after they retire they will be given the recognition they deserve like Lewis.

        Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis

        THE TRUTH

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.

        punches landed

        Vitali 156

        Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

        Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.

"Wladimir is the hardest puncher I have ever trained."-- Emanuel Steward

"Wladimir Klitschko is the hardest puncher I have seen in the last 30 years." -- George Foreman

Wlad is one of the hardest punchers of all time. He has devastating one-punch KO power in both hands.

Emanuel Steward: I could not train a man to beat Wladimir Klitschko

Steward. “Wladimir is gonna be the one I don’t think I could train a man to beat the way he is. I’m serious. I’ve never had a fighter – I went from Holyfield and all the guys I’ve worked with, never, Lennox – Wladimir is a very, very committed, very difficult fighter to beat. Because he won’t let you fight him. He makes you fight what he wants you to fight. But the biggest thing which I think people are not looking at is his speed for a big man. Tremendous speed. Foot Speed. He can move in, explode, move out, move back in, explode, and I’ve never seen anyone that could…move in and out and be in perfect balance,”

In my opinion, Current Wlad brutally KOs any version of Lewis.

Two big guys who stay active and beat the dog **** out of everyone in the class. They beat them to the point that other top fighters turn down the biggest possible pay days just to avoid the beatings. They knock out 90% of the people they fight and dont even lose rounds. Yeah, I appreciate.
