Mosley could NEVER pull the trigger against Mayweather. I don't care if he was prime or not. He couldn't figure out Oscar in there second fight, and was lost against Wright...what makes anybody believe he could ever touch Mayweather who is one of the best defensive fighters of all time. im not saying floyd fought a prime mosley. im saying floyd beat mosley because he was the better boxer not because mosley gassed out or because his age didnt allow him to go the distance. thats bull****.

Myth: Clottey for whatever reason stepped off the the gas pedal and let Cotto win the fight.


Fact: It was a very close, competitive fight. Clottey didn't step off the gas pedal when things were going his way. Cotto made him hesitant during the later part of the fight. Near the end of the tenth round Cotto caught Clottey with some solid, strong left hooks in the middle of exchanges. This made Clottey come out hesitant and drop his workrate. Everytime he let his hands go after this Cotto would smack him with a solid left hook to the jaw. Which is why his punch output dramatically decreased during the 11th and 12th round. This is the same man who imitated a turtle when he fought pac.

Yep.. the same way He got scared after Pacquiao caught him the first few times when he opened up against him.

It's not hard to grasp that a fighter who always fights scared(in his shell defense), would be scared to fight.

Myth: Cotto was weight drained against Pac and past his prime.



Fact: You don't know **** about boxing. Pac had roach in his corner. A tactical genious. Add that to Pac's speed, angles, relentless agresssion, and you are going to exploit EVERY and ANY mistake cotto can do. He exploted every hole in Cotto's game. From the sick uppercuts, to countering cotto's jab with a right hook, and mentally breaking him down...Pac did it all in that fight.

I agree I don't think Cotto was past his prime or drained. He just wasn't gonna get past Manny even with Steward in his corner. And Cotto is my favorite fighter but his kryptonite is an iron jaw pressure fighter especially one who has a high work rate such as the one's he lost to.

Myth: Mosley was old against May. The fight was fixed, and Mosley was to aged to pull the trigger.

Fact: Mayweather is the superior boxer. Not even a prime Mosley could pull the trigger against Mayweather. Stylistically he doesn't present any problems for Mayweather's supreme boxing skills. Yeah he got caught one time and then dominated the fight. He won because he was the better boxer and not because of excuses you want to make for mosley.

I also hate the myth that Shane "gassed out" in the fight that somehow got started on here.

A guy who is gassed isn't bouncing around the whole fight with unfocused energy.

He just didn't know what to do because every time he made any sort of aggressive move from rd 3 on he was countered, Floyd was just better plain and simple.
