What don't people understand about 24/7? 24/7 doesn't dictate to the hardcore fight fan that follows the sport every day and reads article. 24/7 is a marketing tool to sway the casual sports fan or even the person that hasn't watched boxing into buying the fight. HBO knows it has your money and realizes that it pretty much is the same thing over and over but the casual fan doesn't remember this, it's new to them. 24/7 can only do so much, it's boxing, it gets boring. Stop *****ing like 24/7 truly matters because it isn't really focused on getting the hardcore fight fan to buy.
Floyd or Manny, 24/7 is boring.

I don't find it boring. I look forward to every epiosde of every series - it's boxing on television.
Ofc it's a marketing-tool. TV is a marketing-tool period. That doesn't make a programme inherently uninteresting.Comment

Well, people seem to ***** every time there is a 24/7 that it is the same ole, same ole. There is only so much you can do when you're cover two fighters. It's a great marketing tool for the casual fans but not so much for the hardcore fan because the hardcore fan already knows what is going down. For example we know that Pac already buzzed Khan up pretty good and I'm sure that 24/7 will show or talk about it but to the hardcore fan they will poo poo it because they already know about it. To the casual fan though that it pretty interesting.Comment

I think it's as much to do with people being ADD and constantly expecting the sensational.
It's a fun show, with beautifully-shot footage we wouldn't ordinarily get to see and a Glorifying presentation of the sport and its personalities.
Even non-casual fans should be thankful for this, IMO. I'd miss it if it wasn't there.Comment

I agree tbh. It's shot pretty nicely but it is a bit boring. Just like a very long advert with a bit of hip-hop music thrown in.
What's also funny about these 24/7 arguments ("Pacquiao's boring!" / "no, Floyd is!") is that both Manny and Floyd are boring blackholes of charisma.Comment

Guess what? If you don't care for 24/7 don't watch it. It's pretty simple. Some people like it, some don't. Those of us who like it know others don't like it. Posts like this don't sway me from liking it. What exactly is your point?Comment

I don't mind 24/7. I'm actually mocking the people that constantly say it's boring or pac this or floyd that, are boring. 24/7 is what it is, it isn't going to be amazing.Comment
