Hattons staying where he is and asking for the fight, thats why i cant understand the "Hatton doesnt want Mayweather" comments!?!?
Last I checked, Hatton doesn't want to fight Floyd Nov 12th. He wants to fight bums to build up to a potential showdown with Floyd sometime next year. So, what is he supposed to do, fight mandatories until Hatton gets ready? I don't blame him for wanting to move up.

If hatton is willing to do it after one mandatory each then PBF may as well stick around because that is a bigger money fight than anything else he is talking about especially if it is done in Britain. But Hatton has to sign something to that effect. Floyd's best chance of losing is to lose interest fighting mandatories and not take them as seriously as he should. unless hatton is serious about taking this fight within the next 6-8 months floyd needs to fight judah or wright cause otherwise he will wonder why the hell he is working his butt off to fight a bunch of brusseles clones.

He'll wanna fight him in Britain not the US because I doubt he'll wanna leave his comfort zone where the ref gives preferential treatment to him. If he leaves his home & fights PBF in the US I'll give him more respect whether he wins or loses but PBF is on a whole new level that Hatton hasn't seen at all. PBF will TKO him if they fight.
Well... I dissagree with everything you say.

I have to ask... If Hatton isn't "THE MAN" at 140lbs... Who is?

Floyd is p4p #1 because of his accomplishments in 130 and 135 and somewhat 140....

but Hatton is the king at 140 whether you like it or not...to be the man you have to beat the man.

He has the ring magazine belt..I don't care how much he sucks or how good he is, he beat the man so he is the man currently..

of course hes "the man" at light welter, he beat "the man" in tszyu and is the champ. no one can deny that.
i dont see how someone can disagree with that

              hmm

Hatton's a very good fighter but I would not be surprised at all to see Mayweather totally embarrass him. Even though Floyd lost his first fight with Castillo, it seems more and more to me that he might have been injured that fight as some reports say, given that he won the rematch handily.

The version of Castillo that Floyd beat in the rematch is as good as the current version of Hatton. Also, Floyd has gotten even better since that fight, so, while I feel Hatton has a good style to beat Floyd, it simply won't be enough. I'd pick Floyd to beat Hatton. Hatton had all of the advantages vs Tszyu except experience. Hatton will have no advantages of Floyd, except a slight one in power.

                WHY?

140lbs is the hottest division on the planet at the moment! Why doesn't Floyd take FULL advantage of it and arrange some showdowns with some of the divisions stars!?!

I'll be dissapointed if Floyd moves up out of the 140lb division without actually facing any of the top 5.

I might be wrong... But can you smell the dirty odour of Roy Jones Junior starting to surround Floyd Mayweather?

FIGHTING ZAB JUDAH IS BIGGER THAN FIGHTING AT HIS WEIGHT RIGHT NOW

He should fight Hatton first then move up IMO...

If he can beat Hatton, then he would be not just p4p #1 but his ranking would go up in the p4p of the history of the sport...

and i dont care even if you did spar these people, which i very much doubt, you have shown your true colours and people on this board now know what a complete fool you are.

Hatton has after a middling career risen to the occasion once in a big fight. Perhaps he can do it again but he is going to have to display a boxing IQ beyond what he showed against tsuyu to get it done. Floyd has a very unique combination of skill, smarts, athleticism and dedication and I just don't see right now Hatton having a way to counteract it which explains his reluctance to take the fight.
