Comments Thread For: Toshiaki Nishioka-Rendall Munroe: Pre-Fight Report Card

It’s the biggest boxing match of the week and, while on a global scale it’s still not likely to move the meters, the combatants should move each other. This is evenly matched, real top ten action at a weight currently under the radar.

Should be a good fight. I'm glad Nishioka finally got his title. His prime, although he currently holds a title, was during Shaparom's riegn and very few would have been able to beat him when Nishioka fought him. He was an incredible fighter and their rivalry was great.

So he finally got his title even if a bit past his best now. He should beat Munroe but it should be a good contest too.

I think Nishioka had fought three times outside of Japan before he knocked Jhonny Gonzalez out cold in Mexico; Once in France and twice in Las Vegas. Now there is a rumor going around over this side of the rim that Nishioka is willing to fight Fernando Montiel in Mexico sometime soon, if he gets successfully past a Nonito Donaire clash. As far as Nishioka is concerned, home turf advantage doesn't matter.

You're right. I made a bad note there and will note for correction in any follow-up.
