vargas took stanozolol and that was his first fight using a nutritionist who gave it to him!!! stanozolol come in a pill and is used to treat anemia and vargas did have anemia!!!! but it was a banned substance!!! so he was found guilty!!!

I think people should stop hatin and start respectin. The guy was a good fighter who had more heart than many fighters of his time. If anyone knows their boxing history, then you know Fernando was rushed into fighting the best. He and his camp should have waited. But you gotta give credit to the guy he wasn't scared to fight THE BEST !!!! And he fought with a bravado that is missing now a days in boxing. Much respect to Fernando Vargas ! Good accomplishment within his career and life.

Vargas was decent but damn is this a joke?

I think it's easy to judge a boxer by what we see of them in the ring,but needless to say,we don't know what's he done out of the ring for others .
Don't go thinking that they gave him the star just because he lost to some of the best fighters in the business.

If you look at it, he wasn't the one who was knocked out by a body shot,layed there til the count of 20 ... then all smiles in the interview ....

He wasn't the fighter who rocked Mayweather but couldn't finish him and lost in points ....


He's the fighter who got knocked down 5 times in 1 fight,2 by low blows but still kept getting up .... He's the fighter who fights with Mexican pride at all times,not like others who try to make it seem they've been like him all the time .......

He's the one who's help in charity,stayed out of lime lite to provide for his family and is bringing up young talent from the ground up in boxing.... not already established boxers who are looking to have more greed.


Got to give the fighter credit for what he did and didn't do .....

Not the most respected nor well liked boxer,but he was given the star by votes of people who saw what he stands for ..... ALL PRIDE & GLORY !
