No, it's the best plan. I was wondering whether they were going to do the ****** thing, because he is all but shot now, and try to make him box. That is the only recipe for a loss.

At least this way, they are using Tony's strengths, his height and the stuff he does best.

This is the only way he can win. He can't fight well enough any other way.

first thing that comes to mind is that tonys camp is underestimating pacs power. time after time, pacs defeated opponents say "damn, i didnt expect him to hit that hard!" if margs only strategy is to come forward, i expect him to be severely hurt by the 6th round.

now, the correct strategy has been implemented by marquez and morales. you box and counterpunch pacquiao in order to beat him, and the thing is margs has the height and reach to do that. i dont know th exact specs, but tony has a big advantage in that regard. instead of moving forward and pressure pac, margs should move back and let pac come forward.

if margaritos only strategy is to pressure pacquiao, i see him getting knocked out in the middle rounds in a very one sided fight.
You also need to have brilliant timing and enough speed and be able to counter him. Marg doesn't. In fact, the only way he's going to be able to get to Ping Ping is by going straight at him and leading with everything. He cannot play counter puncher because he is not a counter puncher.

At the top, the way you win is to implement your best game plan. If you change things, you are going to lose. Margarito doesn't have any of the necessary tools to be able to box and counter and time Pac. His height doesn't mean **** in that regard. His height will serve him well in being able to get on top of Pac and wail away with uppercuts, body shots and also it will serve him even better in being able to jab from the outside and throw long right hands in order to put Pac on the defensive so he can then push him back to the ropes and get inside to go for the body.

He can't fight any other way that will win and trying to counter is the only definite way he will lose. Not that he will win anyway.

Pac will bust up Margs' nose and mouth making it hard for him to breathe. Margs could catch him with some stunning shots as no one is unbeatable but piston punches in bunches are hard to avoid if you are just trying to overpower a dude just because he is smaller than you.

Any gameplan is useless, Plasterito signed on for one sided beatdown. At least it will be nice to watch Cheato getting his ass kicked.

there plan is as good as it is going to get. one thing i like about Gracie training style is this he trains his fighter to go in with a jab in first even at close range this will help Marg get to Pac

Mosley isn't the hardest puncher from 147-154. He doesn't even have a ton of knockouts at those weights. He was a knockout artist at lower weights.

Hardest puncher is shane, most power generated from 1 punch.

There aren't many that would punch harder at those weights currently though. He lost a lot of his skill and speed but he has always been a big puncher if able to land well.

147 and 154, although it has Pac and Mayweather, is actually a pretty piss poor division for talent right now compared to what it has historically been. It is usually up there among the best consistently, along with the LW's, and MW's but right now it is at quite a low.

I say that because there would normally be some monster punchers around the place in the vein of Tommy Hearns, Pipino Cuevas, Julian Jackson, Robinson etc, but there isn't today. Mosley may be the closest to that right now even though he obviously doesn't compare to any of those guys.
