    I Still respect B-HOP

Im not tryin to defend his actions and all that, and what he did was pretty damn crude...BUT he knew that saying that would make the public go crazy about him and he still said what was on his mind at that time. You guys gotta understand, Hopkins is not the nicest and picture perfect boxer out there. I like Jermain, but i don't want no ****ing nice guy ruling the division. I ALWAYS root for the underdog. In this case, HOpkins is the underdog because people knock him for being who he is ALL the time. Jermain has the looks, the skill, and the personality of a perfect superstar. Everyone likes him because he is so kind and humble, but **** that...Hopkins does things his way and most of the time, he gets what he wants. So don't call me a bhop nut hugger or whatnot. I'm just saying that i respect Hopkins for not falling into the status quo of being the picture perfect role model that everyone wants to see.

You make a lot of good points, Hopkins has never been about pleasing anyone, at least not when he's in his Executioner mode. I really think he's a nice guy at heart, but he's psyched himself up his whole career by playing the jackass role and it's probably hard to turn that off sometimes. This particular incident was pretty dumb, though, though hopefully he'll realize that eventually.

That's fine if you respect him, but the fact is that "what he is" is a whiney, selfish, ex-con, punk.
