Samuel Peter released from Top Rank

I hope this hasnt been posted up already:
Feeling there was nothing else the company could do with him, Top Rank released Peter.

"I think the heavyweight division in the United States is so dismal right now that even a fighter who loses in grand fashion would be difficult to keep on a roster, much less a fighter who wasn't competitive from bell one," Top Rank's Carl Moretti said. "We wish Samuel the best and hope he can rebuild himself and get another shot at somebody."
Six weeks after heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko knocked him out in dominant fashion, former titlist Samuel Peter was released from his promotional contract by Top Rank.

They only signed him to cash him in against Wlad.

Peter is done and has been done.

I think Top Rank accomplished the goal they set out for. They built Peter back into a title fight and collected their share of the purse in the Klitschko fight.

I think Peter could be competitive with any HW not named Wlad and Vitali.

I still want to see him fight Tua or Arreola.

I would argue that his never been the same since the Toney fights, he looked terrible against McCline

I actually never thought he look the same after Wlad put him on ***** street with that devasting right hand he landed in the last round in the first fight.

I haven't watched all of that fight, it looked kind of boring. Peter did look decent against Toney II, but that might of been because Toney was shot

Well i think they both achieve their goals, Peter got a chance to earn one last big payday and Top ranks got to make some doss too.. No a bad business transaction, He should be a gatekeeper now or a sparring partner for any prospect coming through, Which is probably none in the next 2 years or so.
