Comments Thread For: Gesta's Stock Continues To Rise With Lastest Outing

By Jake Donovan - Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta promised to put on a show for the hometown crowd and lived up to his word, even if the entertainment didn’t last for very long.

Nice article jake, hope the fight will be shown here in the Philippines next week. Only us pinoy boxing fans have heard of him, he's a totally unknown commodity here. No news about his latest win, it's all about pacquiao which is slowly deafening my ears. Oh well.

Gesta has potential to be a really good fighter. But he seems to be in a
rush to get a title shot,He needs to go slow.Soon he will get his shot.

Nobody knows him here. I doubt if people from mandaue, cebu, his hometown have heard of him. I saw his fights at youtube but that's all.

I'm suprised they dont show him over there,Hes a solid prospect. But I'm pretty sure goldenboy will get the tv over there to show him.I'm sure
if he gets a fight with diaz or katsidis they will have to televise it.

Golden Boy has a tv contract with the biggest network here but they only show championship bouts from GBP in its main channel. Incidentally, top rank also has a contract with the same network, ABS-CBN but they show top rank fights in its other tv channel every saturday night.

I've been a longtime boxing fan in Australia and have interest on Filipino fighters but never heard of Mercito Gesta not until I saw him @boxing.scene last week.
Now I know Mercito 'No Mercy' Gesta and I think he's the real deal.

He sucks, like every other so called hot Filipino prospect boxer. Hype, then the loss...
