Dan Rafael: Paul Williams NUMBER 3 P4P!!!!!

WTF? Boxing must've really lost it. Even a Klitschko could be placed above him. Williams is just not dominant enough to have such a high spot, and from a technical standpoint he shouldn't even be in the top 10!!!!! How does Williams get rated ABOVE Andre Ward? Or Marquez? Or Mosley? There's a ton of guys you could put above Paul Williams.

Dan Rafael, I like you, and maybe the rest of your list was good, I don't know becuase I don't want to pay ESPN 6.50 to read like 75 words, but you must've been half asleep when you put Williams at 3 p4p.

Williams can't be considered p4p anything when he tries to avoid his own weight class. After Martinez he wants to go back down to 147 to fight smaller men, he didn't even want to fight Martinez but he was forced to.

Dan Rafael is good for the news and insight he brings of the game, but his rankings and scoring of fights is something that I don't take seriously.

He can arguably be ranked Number 2 depending on how you feel about Floyd.

            Williams deserves his spot imo.

He has wins over several Welterweight Champs and a win over the current Lineal MW Champ.

It could also be argued he has been ducked by some of the other top fighters.

Here's the thing, personally, I think that Paul Williams is probably the third, fourth, or fifth best P4P boxer in the world, but his acheievements do not qualify him to really earn that position, for me.

Ranking someone as P4P best and acknowlediging that they are the P4P best are two different things for me, if it makes any sense.

If Paul Williams beats Sergio Martinez, then I don't know how he doesn't crack top 5 P4P though.

I certainly agree about his scoring.

If he DEFINITIVELY beats Sergio Martinez, I mean by a UD of on average AT LEAST 117-111 or better, I could put him at 5.

I don't see that happening though. Paul Williams does not have something that you cannot teach, and that is coordination. He's a very technically flawed fighter.

"Several"? Carlos Quintana who got KO'ed by Miguel Cotto just the other fight
Antonio Margarito - who Williams of course fought at 147, and Margarito still made Paul Williams his girlfriend in the later rounds

Are you saying that you'd have P4P 1 Pacquiao, and 2 Paul Williams? You obviously have no ceiling on your head, which caused everything to spill out.
