Not anymore. Darchinyan has been showing signs of his age in his latest fights and I think he is definitely coming to the end of his career. He's already 35 or something and his peak years are now behind him.

Great fighter and one whom I consider to be highly underrated throughout his career. He is a future HOFer and one of the best Flyweights/SFW's of our time, if not the best, but he is a bit too small at BW against a very top young guy with the skills of Mares. Mares is a in his prime and fighting brilliantly right now whereas Vic is just slowing down enough and small enough to really struggle in this fight.

I think he loses a UD in what will probably his last, maybe second last, fight.

i kinda agree with darch showing signs of decline tho....but prime for prime, darch mopps the floor with mare's overrated ass, dont see anything specail about the kid tbh....big fan of darch , the boy talks **** but he backs it up!

Just thought I share some photos of Abner Mares sparring Ponce De Leon today. This is Abner second day of sparring and did well against Ponce. The last two rounds ponce did the best Vic Darchinyan impression I have seen lol. It was a good six rounds of sparring. Mares fights Vic Darchinyan on Showtime. December 11th!

he's overrated becuase he has'nt done **** ...his best win is a diosdado gabi....lol...he aint that good.....darch has beaten mijares, arce , sinwancha,gorres etc in an explosive fashion....a 2 division champion and unifeid most of the belts in both and fighting bigger guys in his 3rd....top that!
