My newspaper article on Mercito Gesta (Picture)

Hey guys, wanted to drop off my new article on lightweight prospect Mercito Gesta, which ran today in the Filipino Reporter newspaper. Gesta is 19-0-1 (9 KO) and fights Ivan Valle tonight on Telefutura at 11:30 PM EST.

If you can't get the paper, read the article on GMA 7 News.

With understandably much more attention on Manny Pacquiao's bid for an eighth world title against Antonio Margarito on November 13, Filipino lightweight prospect Mercito

gesta looked good tonight, despite the fight only lasting two rounds.

he looked a little raw and over agressive at times but at 23 yrs of age, he has room for improvement.

I agree, Gesta has a lot to learn. I think the more his profile grows, the more he needs to remain grounded. Young prospects read their press and start to think they're superstars already. Gesta has talent, but I'd like to see what else he has.
