The cruiserweight title picture is quite amusing

Isn't it ironic that the man considered by the Ring magazine to be their no. 1 in the cruiserweight division, Steve Cunningham, the IBF titlist, has already beaten ALL of the other current titlists in the division before they became champions ?

    Marco Huck (WBO) TKO12
    Guillermo Jones (WBA) SD
Wlodarczyk (WBC) a SD loss and a MD win

Cunningham will have to go through some if not all of these past foes if he is to become the undisputed king

    that's so ****ing ironic

btw, someone has an update on the cruiserweight tournament ? I read somewhere it is supposed to open up with Huck vs X in december

and does someone know if the official 6th participant's name has been announced ?

I haven't heard anything in regards to a 6th contestant so far, read somewhere that Eddie Chambers is possible beause he could easily get down to the limit but not sure how true that is, don't see it happening to be fair.

yeah I wonder if Chambers is capable of cutting those 12-13 pounds to get down to 200 lbs

he would be better off at cruiserweight, cause if the title picture remains the same at heavyweight for a while, he will never get the chance to win a belt

at 200, he would be more in his league although he has always done well at HW thanks to his speed and defense, he would beat many top fighters without much trouble, guys like Huck and Wlodarczyk

He could always move back up to heavyweight after this tournament as well. Might be a smart move for him but he's still gotta cut the weight. He was only 210 in his last fight as well so spose it is possible.

Can't really think of any other legitimate cruiserweights to stick in this tournament though.

What am I saying, there are legit cruisers out there but whether they're interested or not is another thing.

And this is the other possible list I just found:

                Steve Cunningham
                Marco Huck
                Dennis Lebedev
                Yoan Hernandez
                Krysztof Woldarczyk
                Danny Green or BJ Flores

Danny Green is probably too much of a ***** to enter a cruiser tournament, but if Flores beats him and I hope he does, I would be happy to see him get involved in such an interesting tourney

I hope Hernandez doesn't get in there though
