Floyd doesn't wanna fight Manny, this is why he priced himself out & asked for extra testing, all that to simply avoid him!!When a percieved smaller man comes up in weight & does the things Manny had,an undefeated fighter will def. get kinda iffy!!

A long time ago, but I still have a little bit of hope left for may, but after may that's it completely.

besides who knows how far past his prime manny will be after another war

and Floyd has already shown signs of slowdown with shane

Even if it gets made after may, it still will have lost its appeal.

I don't think those negotiations were anywhere near as difficult as putting Mayweather and Pacquiao together. Each of those fights highlighted were made, and considering De La Hoya's own company was responsible for putting Pacquiao vs De La Hoya together with Top Rank, I'm more than positive Oscar had an influence in what he wanted for the fight more than what Pacquiao was demanding. The biggest thing people talk about when mentioning De La Hoya and Pacquiao was the weight, but it was Oscar who said he'd have no issues with going to 147, a weight Pacquiao NEVER competed at. Call Oscar crazy for trying, but it is what it is.

As far as there still being enough time for this fight to happen, I do agree there still is, but time isn't on either Pacquiao or Mayweather's side. We don't live in a time like when people salivated over Leonard vs Hagler for YEARS before the fight was made. If this fight IMO isn't made anytime next year, I believe people (if not already) will move on. Plus, we don't even know how Floyd's legal issues will pan out which furthermore can extend the time frame from this fight realistically being made.

Just to put it into perspective, if the fight doesn't get made at all next year, that means it'll literally be 2 years since this fight has been in discussion without any contracts being signed. Something's wrong with that.
