This is a case where I feel fighters should be forced to retire. He was done 6 years ago, now....he's an embarrassment to the sport. What I saw was not a competitive boxing match, it was an assault on a defenseless man.

Briggs said Vitali was better than LL and foreman and the best thing since sliced bread almost. Now he is saying he could beat Vitali with 2 arms? I never recall him asking LL for a rematch and saying hed beat LL.

So mixed messages which is par the course for boxers.

If Briggs wants another title shot, let him earn it, this time around. If he's as good as he states, let him beat a good opponent or two, then talk about rematches. Obviously this won't happen, because Briggs has never really beaten anyone of mention to earn his title shots. At this point Briggs would get beaten by most of the top 20 heavyweights...

Even if he tore his muscle in the first round the damage he sustained to the head was immense, I dont think Briggs should be fighting anyone for at least 4 months just for the healing process of broken bones and what not.

briggs asking for a rematch makes him the dumbest man on earth. the dude just got battered and assaulted for 12 rounds and thinks he possibly might win?? how ****** is this dude?? my guess briggs is flat out broke about to be down and out and is looking for anything to get another check. briggs' other job possibilities would be slim.
