I peg Solis as the only active heavyweight that can perhaps do something to Vitali.

Styles makes fights. Solis cuts off the ring well, has a very high guard, and a dynamite left hook, which he follows up well with combination punching.

People ***** about his weight, but honestly, I see it as a plus for his style.

He's been in with scarier people than Vitali (Felix Savon anyone?) so I don't think intimidation will play a part here.

I'll have to see how Solis looks in december to be sure, but he's the only guy I see that has a chance.

I love Vitali as a fighter (far more than his bro), and if this was the Vitali that fought Lewis, then I wouldn't give Solis a chance, but Vitali's slowing down a bit now.

Vs the Vitali that showed up against Briggs, I'll vote for Solis.

I vote for Solis on this one.

      Vitali by harpooning the whale.

Good one Ruslan Chagaev had beaten Savon too, didn't help too much against Wlad

Kinda of proves my point. Ruslan wasn't scared of Wlad either. All I was mentioning there was intimidation. I don't believe Solis will be scared of Viatli (a la Kevin Johnson).

It's fair if you think Vitali will win. The bros have been looking unbeatable lately.

But at least admit that Solis would beat all of Vitali's latest opponents:

        Solis > Briggs
        Solis > Snows-whatever
        Solis > Johnson
        Solis > Arreola
        Solis > Peter

He would probably beat all of them except Peter and Arreola, maybe he would ebat them, maybe he wouldn't, it's easy to look good against the kind of opposition he's faced so far, but he's untested. I don't know how good Solis' chin is either.

            solis needs to lose weight

if he can get some more speed behind those combinations he does indeed have the style to beat a klitschko

Even if Solis will weigh 120kg, he still beat Vitali

Solis is an undisciplined fat slob who hasn't beaten anybody with a pulse.

                Vitali will annihilate Solis.

Solis is still very much an unknown quantity in the pros. We know he possesses (or possessed) world class skills and that he can ****, but so far his level of opposition has been very poor and doesn't give us an accurate guage of how he would do against Vitali. Also, with his current ballooning in weight he's had to resort to plodding forward Tua style in order to land one big shot. This is not the way to beat Vitali and I have a hard time seeing how Solis could win unless he sheds a bus-load of weight.
