Comments Thread For: Audley: After I Knock Haye Out, I'll Help Him To His Feet

2000 Olympic gold medal winner Audley Harrison is not even considering the possibility of a loss on November 13, when he challenges WBA heavyweight champion David Haye at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Harrison is confident that he has Haye's number in the fight.

I can't wait for this farce of a fight to get over with, so Haye can go back to focusing most of his energy ducking a Klitschko.

The reason it has taken Audley 10 years to reach this point is because he is not good enough and, farcically, the division is weak enough that this fight is a possibility. Only in this era of a total lack of depth in the heavyweight division could Harrison, somebody who barely sc****d through against domestic level opposition to sneak the European title, be granted a world title shot. This is not some guy who has been around the block like a Ruiz, who'd beaten contenders over and over and given a good account of himself in previous world title shots. This is not somebody who has even proven himself against top 10 opposition. This is just somebody plucked from the abyss because he has name recognition, from his amateur success and ironically his professional failure, and Haye needs to stay active.

You've failed for 10 years Audley. Prizefighter, Sprott, they were your greatest achievements and that's because they were your level. There's nothing new. You have not come through adversity. You haven't had to fight your way up. You haven't been screwed over by promoters or the boxing circuit. You haven't been used. You've just failed, repeatedly, and there's no reason to believe you won't simply fail again. Haye is not a guy synonymous with failure. How can somebody who has repeatedly demonstrated his conditioning and class in the ring be likely to lose to somebody who has repeatedly demonstrated his inability to cope with half decent opposition? Haye is not Danny Williams, Martin Rogan, Michael Sprott, or Dominick Guinn.

There is only one logical result in this fight. I don't normally bet, but this is about as safe as it gets in boxing.

Yeah it shows how weak the devision is if Audley Harris0n gets a title shot. I honestly never thought he would have gotten one.

I would laugh myself to death if Audley beats Haye :-) Nothing would be more fun. Probably wont happen but just maybee somethink funny actually happens and shows how much Haye stinks.
