Some people use it as inspiration (Alexander the week after his father died, and Margarito the week after his brother died) Some people have problems with it. It's the way we are made. Katsidis should take time off and deal with his loss, I know I would do just that.

I was thinking the same thing...he found out the night before a fight, the way I heard it told.




I understand the postponement, but Mike can't throw this chance away. The night he fights Marquez is potentially his defining night. I don't think he'll ever have a better shot at beating an opponent of this caliber and level of respect in the game.




I hope Mike is able to deal with things and that his brother finds Mercy.

But I still think it's the best shot he'll ever have at beating a guy of Marquez's stature in the game (JMM is still too good and smart to be called over the hill, so it counts). If Katsidis can make the pace uncomfortable for Marquez, he can do damage (IF).

I agree that some people can use death as inspiration, while others see death as a major distraction.
