Comments Thread For: Klitschko: No Choice, Haye Must Fight or Admit He's Afraid!

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko says time is running out for David Haye, the champion of the WBA. There is so much public pressure and hype, that Vitali says Haye is now forced to fight, or he needs to go on the record and admit "he's afraid" to step in a ring with a Klitschko.

Honestly, I wish the Klitschko brothers would just vacate the titles and let David Haye fight some bum for the belts. That way they would be the mandatories for the titles and show everyone without a shadow of a doubt that Haye is ducking them. I can't believe there are people out there who still think the brothers are ducking Haye, the british media is great at brainwashing people.

I believe the Champion has called the little guy out, and there's no BS that could change that fact. Haye did a lot of talking and taunting and I believe He chickened out once and will continue to avoid the beatdown. Either way, He's an embarrasment. You can't do all that talking and just hide after; He put himself in this embarrasing position and now as Vitali points, He in between the wall and the sword. Pick you embarrasment, getting beat down like a step child or destroy your boxing accomplishments by labeling yourself as a Coward.
        Bien Pendejo el Haye!

Well we'll see what happens after Haye fights Harrison. He's in a corner. Either he fights his way out of it or cowers and disappears from the media spotlight. That's when we'll see the measure of the man.

I still have faith that he'll step up. I think the current series of fights has come down to politics, contractual obligations, and ultimately money. Once he's in full control of his fights again, he'll take on one of the brothers having negotiated a 50/50 pay deal that he, frankly, doesn't quite deserve since Vitali and Vladimir have been so dominant for so long.

Although to be honest I wish the various sanctioning bodies would get together and mandate all fights be 60/40 with 60 to the winner. That would solve a lot of the political headaches in the game. No testosterone fueled "you ain't worth ****, I should get more than you" public arguments that seem to be the centerpiece of every popular rivalry in modern boxing (e.g. Hopkins vs Jones Jr, Mayweather vs Pacman, Haye vs Klitschkos).

David Haye will never have the courage to fight a Klitschko.
