I'm near to the great warrior MICHAEL KATSIDIS,i'm really sad for him.
This could be the fight of his life but obviously means nothing compared to this tragedy, ciao MICHAEL and family!!!

Katsidis strikes me as the kind of guy who will fight, for better or worse.

        I may be wrong.

Actually it was not just simply a given that marquez was going to beat Katsidis... I was going to pick, JMM, but I think it will be a lot tougher fight than the diaz rematch... Katsidis has REALLY improved his guard as of late... that joint is similar to abraham's guard... he doesn't swing wildly leaving his chin out to dry AS MUCH.. he still does sometimes, but a lot more calculated with his aggression... at this point in JMM's career, he is about the same speed of hand and foot as katsidis, and marquez, as brilliant as he is, is still there to be clocked, and often if you can either stand, or dodge his return fire..

Marquez still should eventually push the stop button in the late rounds, though, as Katsidis proves to be a worthy challenger, as he earned his right the hard way, fighting his way back up the ranks...

RIP S. Kat... Prayers with you and your family Michael... There would be nothing wrong with either canceling or postponing the fight, but I, and Im sure your brother right now is too, praying that you can use it as motivation and train all the more intensely... Then come fight time just fight his his spirit bro - that's how it works...

sometimes fighters find bigger motivation following the passing of a dear person

Not everyone reacts to death the same way though. It could deflate him just as easily as spur him on.

Just thinking about my own brothers and having to deal with losing any of them is something I really hope I don't have to ever deal with until we're old and gray. All the best to the Katsidis Family. I'm not sure how capable Katsidis can be mentally in the biggest fight of his life just about a month away. I say re-schedule, take care of family issues, reflect, and revisit JMM in 2011.
