Groupe Yvon Michel and Golden Boy Promotions launched their media tour to promote the duel between the world champion of the WBC, light heavyweight Jean Pascal (26-1-0), who faces the legendary Bernard Hopkins (51-5-1 ) at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City on December 18. This tour has led to stops in Quebec and Montreal. And the teams will head to Toronto and then travel to New York on Wednesday. It will be certainly one of the biggest boxing matches to be held in Canada. The duel will also broadcast by the American network Showtime and should be seen by nearly 60 million people.

Um Bernard did try to fight the white boy. Don't know how long you've been into boxing but they tried to have negotiations for that fight awhile ago. Honestly, I don't think Bute would want it with old man Hopkins anyway. Just look at Bute's resume, he isn't interested in challenging himself, heck his best win is Andrade. Bute really needs to step his game up. I'm not hating cause I think Bute is talented as heck, but he really needs to up his level of competition.

hopkins is fighting pascal because he THINKS he can win...if he thought he could beat dawson, we would have seen that fight when he publicly stated he would fight the winner of dawson/johnson 2...instead we got the shotroy jones snooze-a-thon....when it was time for dawson, the excuse was dawson didn't bring enough $ and yada yada ya...pascal handled dawson better than anybody i saw so far...

at this point its just up to pascal to do his homework on nard and be ready for all the dirty tactics nard uses...
