How would you rate Kelly Pavlik's chin?

He has been in there with Miranda, Taylor, Hopkins, and Sergio Martinez and only has lost twice and never been knocked down. Do you think if he fights Bute that he may get knocked out?

    Taylor knocked him down.

    Hopkins buzzed him.

I'd say he has a pretty good beard.

    7.5 out of 10.

    Bute knocked out Andrade.

He can knock out anybody at 168.

      part of chin is mentality
Pavlik can't be high on confidence now
decent chin, but Bute can crack it
hurt and busted up by Martinez via accumulation
hurt by Hopkins, though at LHW
      nearly KO'd by Taylor
it all adds up, Pavlik won't have good chin as a SMW

        His chin is decent.

Bute definitely has the power to knock him out, though - whether he would is another matter.

Pavlik has to find a way back to his Championship-chasing days, then we have a competetive fight.

Steve Smoger thinks it's pretty good. I'd say it's up there. He took some big shots from Hopkins and Taylor.

Chin doesn't matter as much against Bute anyway.....i'd be more worried about protecting the liver from one of those body shots. Bute's head shots are often an afterthought or the cherry on top to finish the cake that was prepared by landing those husge body shots.

He has a good chin but Bute is a big opponent with power who is fast enough to be able to tag him as often and in the same way Sergio did.

Pavlik will most likely be stopped in this fight and maybe we should focus on how he takes shots to the body seeing as Bute has been killing it with that uppercut to the body as of late.

sure he took miranda out with an uppercut....but it was 2 shots to the body that took the wind out of his sails.

Here he drops Andrade with an uppercut.....but finishes him to the body.

Bute is smarter than ppl give him credit for. He struggled with Andrade the first time...but learned from it. He adjusts in the rematch and takes him out in 4 rds easily. This is the sign of a good fighter. Everything he does in this rd is a trap which Andrade's Margarito type stlye plays right into.....he lets Andrade follow him around so he can set traps and use his speed and movement to counter with short sharp punches.

Pavlik might be a similar story.....i see him following Bute all around the ring and walking into something big.....i'd say he finishes Pavlik with a body shot.

his chin is pretty solid, but what's more impressive is his recuperating abilities and his mental fortitude.

bute could knock him out, not with one punch, pavlik would beat the count but get tko'd right after, IF it happens.

bute, has a fairly decent chin but pavlik has enough pop to knock him out, and he has enough power to REALLY hurt bute to the body, but, pavlik really doesn't bring his power with him when he moves up in weight. bodyshots can wear bute out and work rate, but i think he is too slick for pavlik.

That's what I was thinking. Bute been killing it with them body shots.

I think Pavlik has an above average chin. His gameplan for Miranda relied on his own chin cause he would not of taken Miranda out otherwise. I remember him saying in his corner in one of those rounds that he cant feel his legs anymore lol. His style relies on his chin.

He has been hurt by: Miranda,Hopkins, and Taylor

So his ability to take punches is decreasing. Plus he sucks againgst boxers. So, Bute would be a bad matchup. I say feed Pavlik Paul Williams. Easy Ko for Pavlik
