Chisora is certainly highly unlikely to show as much heart as Briggs did. Briggs showed unbelievable heart, and Chisora's criticisms are ridiculous. You can criticise his lack of speed and workrate but not his lack of heart. And he was trying to land big punches to the end.Comment

This article is an interview with Derek Chisora, who is Wlad's next opponent - what don't you understand about that? You sound like you are criticising the interviewer for what the interviewee said!I don't agree and don't understand the purpose of your thread.
Did you watch the fight?
Briggs came to win, but got injured early, but still hang for 12 rounds in hopes till the last round. He didn't win, but please, don't underplay his efford. The guys had his faced scrambled and bones broken trying to win.

I don't believe you can be being serious, Davros.I agree he wont be standing after 12 he will be sitting in his dressing room celebrating a great victory with his uncle and brother, he will be on the phone to buy that classic post box he has been after and then get out the Fila-fax to pencil in his victory over Vitali.Comment

Two reasons:
1) He is the highest ranked fighter who was willing to step in the ring this December. He is ranked #13 by boxrec, and is certainly a far more credible opponent than Briggs or Audley. He is not a bum, he is a fringe contender. And all the top contenders were either saying they're not ready yet (Povetkin, Solis, Boystov, Adamek), were outright ducking (Haye, Valuev), or had already been beaten by Wlad (Thompson, Chagaev).
2) It will give Wlad more exposure in the UK and put pressure on Haye to fight him.Comment
