I know, Hopkins fought Robert Allen 3 times. How can anyone doubt his greatness.

oh yeah like that sums up bhops career.

first allen fight - freak accentent with mills lane ending in NC.
immediate remach - bhop destroyed him.
5 years later allen worked his way back up to the #1 spot and become his mandatory. Hopkins didn't want to fight him but would have been stripped of a belt.

At least hopkins never lost to carl froch.

But seriously, **** talking aside. Pascal is not that talented, he's not that special. What's good about him is his huge confidence in himself and that can go along way. With that said I seriously doubt pascal will be champ for much longer (whether it's bhop or dawson or cloud, someone is going to beat him within a years time).

Hahahaha...maybe I should stop smoking that ish but I just think that Hopkins doesn't have what it takes anymore to deal with a young hot hungry top boxer. He will not be able to once again put on a great performance like he did against Pavlik two years ago. Pascal is going to make the old man look really old in there and knock him out. Pascal sends Hopkins into retirement.

I'll bump this thread two months from now when the fight is over telling y'all.....I TOLD YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only edge i see pascal having in this fight is his youth. hopkins has been in the ring with all styles, some far better than pascal, and hopkins has a galaxy of experience compared to pascal.

the fact that pascal isnt a non stop punching machine and fights in spurts, opens up a lot of advantages for the old man.

hopkins has been the underdog before and we all see what happens when he is, he comes and dominates.

keep underestimating hopkins, it usually propels him into winning the fight, fashionably............

I think he may need to move up and if that is why he is so lethargic as of recent than he should get serious about his fitness and move up to heavyweight. There are tons of fatties there to pick apart. Hell he smacked Adamek around real good and he has done pretty well for himself so far.
I think part of the reason he "smacked Adamek around real good" was the same reason you gave for why Dawson should move up in weight -- Adamek was totally weight drained. That being said, I don't know if Dawson could carry that extra weight as well as Adamek has as a heavy.

Bhop will not fail, he lived in prison for 10 years, he can't lose to a soft canadian brotha, no offense.

Actually he was in prison less than five years.
