He can knockout Pacquiao but it's very unlikely that he would. Floyd was safety-first with the likes of Marquez, who posed zero threat to him, he's always going to be that way, and he's not likely to damage Pacquiao with a single punch badly enough to get a stoppage. He'd have to throw combinations and the current Floyd never throws more than a couple of punches, and usually throws single shots. His single shot power is not enough to stop Pacquiao.

He won't go for the KO if he thinks it's too hard to get. He gave Marquez the worse beating of the fight during the 11th, realized Marquez was there to stay, and took his foot off the gas in the final round.

manny's style allows for Floyd to slowly chip away at manny's punch resistance to get the Mayweather victory by KO.

He might be able too but I can't ever see this being the outcome of this fight if it does happen. It would be the completely the wrong tactics on Mayweather's part to go in the ring with Pacquioa looking for the knockout, the definition of fighting the other fighters fight! Although I'll probably get red K'd for this as I was last time, I think Mayweather would win a close decision over Pacquiao by just boxing around him and using his legs and counterpunches.
