The WBC heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko, was informed that Shannon Briggs remains in a Hamburg hospital after their contest on Saturday. Klitschko gave Briggs a terrible beating in the twelve round contest, resulting in a concussion and several facial fractures. Klitschko praised Briggs for his heart in being able to survive the twelve rounds of punishment and hopes he returns very soon to the ring.
