Agreed, I thought he was slowing in his last 2 fights but he was back to his best here.

IMO he is past his prime.

Not done, nor shot. Still elite and the 2nd best HW right now. But, past his prime none the less.

maybe because he was fighting a man who was in his prime 10 years ago, who is now shot, who has asthma and didn't deserve a title shot ?

Sosnowski and Johnson had a bit of defense at least, Briggs just got punched in the head all night long, easy to look great against a punching bag

Wow, that is exactly what I was going to say! You can make a case in the last 2 fights but no way can you say he looked slow and old in this fight. Vitali throws more punches then just about any heavyweight out there...

I think he's slowing down, but it doesn't change the fact he's the second best HW in the world right now.

Vitali is much better conditioned now than he was before he retired, he throws a lot more punches and doesn't look tired at all.

His handspeed was a lot better then Briggs and he had no issues due to it.

He has slowed down a tad imo i'd like to see him in with a faster fighter then say a briggs in his next fight and we would have a good indicator.

                    Is he slowing down? Yes

but he is still plenty fast enough
