Morales has said that following the Pac rematch he wants to have 3 fights in 2006. One of which, for the Lightweight championship.

But he has also said he will not fight Castillo EVER. So those two statements may conflict with each other. But being that JLC is such a beast at 135, he may move up himself leaving the door open for his friend. It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

While I agree that Morales would not beat Corrales if the fight were to come off. I don't think it has anything to do with being afraid.

I trully think Morales would take that fight tomorow if he could get it.

He also has the tools to make a great fight of it. I would encourage him not to brawl as he'd likely get his head taken off, but with his exceptional skills & the fact that he would still surprisingly have a reach advantage over Chico together with his granite chin could be enough to allow him to see the scorecards. I'd pick Corrales to win, but I wouldn't call it a mismatch, certainly not to the point where this fight shouldn't happen.
