This may seem a little weird but in the 1st round Gatti had some sucess when he was staying real low and moving his head while he was walking him down. Of course once Mayweather nailed him with those 2 left hooks it was all but over. But if someone could stay low and move like that for a whole fight he probably could give Mayweather some serious trouble.

You're right it does seem a little weird.

When Floyd was lower in weight, Barrera said he was interested in fighting with him. What does anyone think about this match up?

I don't mean to be annoying but I would pick Mayweather over anyone from 140-147.

lose the first half of the fights but hit anything you can, , the arms, the body when you can (the hips...), train in cutting the ring against some of the fastest legs in boxing. this is the plan. which should be coupled with some defense (slipping with punches you are bound to take...), a tough skin, and endless stamina.

this should be enough to take him into deep waters

now, IF someone actually does that and floyd can still win the fight on heart and will... WOW: I would rate him as one of the greatest fighters to ever lace gloves

I've been following Floyd for years and there no doubt in my mind of his in-ring skills he has all the talent to be great, when he is focused he's flawless. He understimated Castillo in their first fight but got lucky with the judges. Some people thought he lost that first fight including myself and HBO commentators.Hes a judge favorite, with that said the only way to beat him is knocking him out IMHO.

Easier said then done man. I mean thats what Gatti tried to do, and look where it got him. The first round was a feeling out round...Floyd semi respected Gatti's power and didn't throw many shots until he was comfortable, which is what all good fighters do. The thing with Floyd is he's too fast for big guys, and his punches are too sharp for little guys.

Only thing I think could beat him is constant pressure, mixed in with alot of body work and low blows ( you have to get him off his game, he's the smartest fighter in the world), or not doing anything for 2 and a half minutes of every round, and then showing flurries with the last 30 seconds of every round, much like what DLH does.

that's why I have that capital IF, seriously I think that we won't know how good mayweather is, unless hatton turns out to be as good as chavez or duran
