It appears as though their opponents don't try to beat them, their fights are very one-sided, they are foreign. If they were American, they'd be big stars here, it wouldn't matter if they were black or not. They would definitely have more black fans if they were black though, they would have more fans in general if they were American.
If the Klitchkos were black their haters would be considered

No,but when someone says **** like "all the HWs are playing football or basketball" that is racist (forgeting that E.Europeans weren't allowed to box pro until 1990).
Or - "the Klitschkos wouldn't even be contenders in the 60s and 70s"
So, yes, I would say most of their haters today are racist because there is really nothing you can criticize them on - they fight the best available, the cleaned out the division or have the rest running from them, and they hardly loose rounds let alone fights in the last 6 years, and most of their wins are by KOs or dominant beatings.Comment

What's your point? No shit they would be televised. It's ****ing America. Don't blame HBO for the fact that no Americans want to watch these one-sided beatdowns.Comment

It wasnt 2004, that lasted as long as Lewis wanted to fight. Im sure it would be different if in Lewis prime HBO cut him out for no reason. That happend to Wlad and Vitali but not Lewis or any other heavyweight champion of the HBO era. This is the worse American coverage of heavyweight title fights in the history of boxing.Last edited by Darkstar; 10-16-2010, 07:11 PM.Comment

Lol... I guess
I really don't know where it is that they r hated so much. Aren't they huge starts where they're from. They're definitely not hated in America (or at least not where I'm from in America).
Maybe u should try to convince the people who hate the Klitchkos to hate Joe Calzaghe instead. He's more deserving.Comment

I think this is true, a little of both, they would be much more popular here if they were black or American. But, I think the powers that be (media) is what is detracting from their true greatness here in the US (they are gods in Germany and Ukraine). If the US media wanted to sell them, they would, they can sell **** on a stick when they want to, don't tell me they couldn't do a campaign blitz to sell two brothers who are also the most dominant HW champs in a generation holding belts AT THE SAME TIME. This has never happened before and will never happen again, this story should be getting more attention.Comment

Well the Tyson fights early on were one sided beat downs but the media went crazy for him for some reason.
I think part of the reason is that they are very polite and respectful and don't talk a lot of trash, Americans like a little soap opera WWE with their boxing (white or black).Comment
