at the risk of being called a hater and racist (by some of the sillier and actually racist posters on here) it's prob less than expected. Briggs has no D. Vitali should have KO'd his ass within 8 rds.

Are we forgetting who Vitali beat last night in the ring?. Briggs is no where near the same fighter he was all those years ago, just take look at the Lewis fight. Briggs was pretty athletic in his hayday but after watching him get beat down for 12 hard rounds, he is a shadow of the former Briggs I once seen, the result was expected. Vitali done what he had to do but how on earth does it seal him as the best heavyweight ever? Their will always be questions marks over the K'bros heads, but that's due to the level of opposisition, which is not their fault.

Maybe he should get knockedout by Buster Douglas or Oliver McCall, then he would be better.

What are Vitali's top five wins?

Kirk Johnson, Arreola, Peters, Williams, Sanders? The best fighters on his resume, Lewis and Byrd, are both losses.

Vitali is a good fighter in a terrible era of heavies. Can't possible put him in the goat category.

In fairness though he never really *lost* against Byrd, he was clearly ahead on points and didn't get tko'ed/cut.

The only true loss i put on his record his against Lewis.

Yeah, I guess, but he didn't get the win. He quit in a fight where he was ahead on the cards, and all he had to do was play defense for three rounds. He didn't exactly show goat championship spirit.

Yeah i agree that he should have carried on the fight but its a ****ty way to lose or win thats for sure, i wonder if byrd is proud of that win or if he even counts it as a true win.
