oh I know they have plenty of money. I was stating that not even a huge paycheck would justify fighting your own brother

there's a surprising amount of decency on the board. i agree, the bros shouldn't fight... it'd be sickening watching family beat each other up. and especially considering they're so good at it. this ain't pro wrestling, seeing owen vs bret hart or something like that

I have felt this should happen for a while. Brothers fight all the time and this is an opportunity for both of them to make more money than they have ever made for a fight. Many times good friends have met in the ring when the money was right and after the fight went right back to being good friends.

It comes down to not wanting to lose which is no different to any other abc titlest that refuses to unify because he doesn't want to lose. Forget for a moment the relationship between the two and focus on that because it is the reason they don't fight.
Could you imagine in tennis, Vanessa Williams refusing to play her sister? could you imagine Marc Gasol sitting out a NBA game because they are facing the Lakers(brother Pau).
No because they are profesionals!!
That is my point! They are both professional boxers and chose that profession.
So until the titles are unified, the two brothers are no different than all the other paper champions in boxing and neither can be considered real champion as long as the other claims to be champion too.

At least that is how I feel...
