    miscelaneous questions

1 - why did shane mosely break up with gossen after one fight(the wright rematch)?

2 - why did tyson's lawyers do such a horrible job in his **** trial? why did king allow that?

3 - why does anyone believe that wright and floyd will actually fight each other next?

4 - why are they trying to pass off crap fights as PPV? i'm a boxing fan, but i'm not paying for this garbage.. rahman/barrett PPV??? are you kidding me?

5 - why didnt king, arum, duva or kushner sign ike and get him some mental help?

6 - why did Naz retire after losing one fight to MAB?

7 - why didnt felix/whitaker/ or quartey fight each other? i can understand king had tito, but why didnt pea and ike fight?

8 - why was norris considered at the top of the pound for pound list? he had a good offense and power, but his chin was crap and his biggest wins were against old guys or nobodies. the one prime, known fighter, he did face(jackson) he got KTFO bad.

9 - why doesnt morales get more respect in p4p rankings? he struggles with MAB, but he beats everyone else, including the guy that KO'd MAB

10 - why does anyone still care about the alphabet belts since there is no credibilty to their rankings or decisions. why dont champions do like tarver and johnson and prove themselves the real champs by fighting the best. they proved you dont need the belts.

1.)Knowning Mosley, He probably blamed Goosen for Winky beating him again, when the true fact of the matter is, Shane is just not what he use to be and going up in weight classes certainly doesn't help with that. Winky had his number.

2.)I don't know much about that one maybe you can ask an old guy like marvdave, cple, sonny, or jabsRstiff (calm down, fellas, just kidding.....about him asking you that is.)

3.)I don't know if people believe it as much as they did a few weeks ago, but I guess since it's a fact that Mayweather has a pay-per view date they think it has to be against somebody worth a Mayweather PPV....(I know, badly worded, but I'm foreign.)

4.)Maybe they can broadcast Rahman as the man who knocked out prime Lennox Lewis and portray him as some kind of unbelievable puncher to general sports fans and get the buy. Who knows.

5.)They probably didn't give two ****s about his personal life...or maybe didn't believe anything was wrong with him.

6.)Well, he fought one more person and then left. He pulled a Trinidad. There was still money out there for him, but his legend was no more.

7.)I don't know about that one.

8.)I'm not sure about that one, but I got a question. Was there any fighters, at the time, more deserving than Norris to be p4p #1?

9.)What are you talking about, he does get respect. But when you have a list like today with so many different talents, with so many different accomplishments. It's hard to accurately place alot of people.

10.)The belts are just so much more prettier.

Was that around the time he beat Leonard?
If so, I guess people were still Leonard-crazy. And the way he beat him in such a one-sided fashion made him move high - and maybe too high - in the p4p rankings.

Alot of questions, here are some takes--sorry, no particular order...

Sometimes I wish the Tyson **** trail coverage could be updated to today's CourTV standards, and perhaps we would have had a different outcome...there seemed to be a lot of holes in the prosecution that were not taken advantage of...

What other high profile athlete has been convicted on such a serious charge? OJ walks, Kobe walks, etc. If Tyson did it then let it be...

Naseem knew he couldn't beat MAB or Morales, so he rode off into the British sunset...

Don King can't get anyone to broadcast his crap cards for free (regular HBO or Showtime), so he has to distribute the s**t himself on PPV and then get someone (Showtime PPV) to broadcast it...but they won't put their announcing team on it, he has to get his own (Hence the return to the mic of George Foreman).

The alphabets are a joke, and there was a groundswell from people like Max Kellerman and Brian Kenny attempting to get the boxing public to buy into The Ring's titles as the only legit titles, but then they coronate Vitali Klitschko as heavyweight champion for beating up a golfer with a quick straight left hand, and they have more than a couple vacant championships...my take is you decide who the champion is, you're as justified as some magazine editors, so why not?

Ike was a lost cause, and despite the talent, he had no name recognition in the public--no "heat". It wouldn't have been worth it, though I'm sure King would try now if he could, given the current state of the HW division. Then, Lennox and Evander were still around, and the Klits were coming up, plus there was Tua and Tyson...
